Treason From Within: The Road towards a Police State in America (via Mountain Republic)

There is a shocking piece of legislation working its way through Congress. A Defense Authorization bill for 2012 allows for military detentions of American citizens on American soil. These can be indefinite detentions, with no trial.

The American Civil Liberties Union statement (more of an alert) on November 23, 2011 deserves special attention:

“The U.S. Senate is considering the unthinkable: changing detention laws to imprison people — including Americans living in the United States itself — indefinitely and without charge.”

“The Defense Authorization bill — a “must-pass” piece of legislation — is headed to the Senate floor with troubling provisions that would give the President — and all future presidents — the authority to indefinitely imprison people, without charge or trial, both abroad and inside the United States.”

Obama Continues Trash America Tour

Every time I think Obama couldn’t possibly express any more disdain for this great country, he kicks us in the face yet again.

At the APEC conference this past week, Obama claimed American businesses have “gotten a little lazy in the last couple of decades”. He claimed that we take it for granted that people want to come here, and that we haven’t been “selling America.”

Are you kidding me, Sir? We aren’t selling America? Who is the one constantly apologizing for this country, telling foreign nations how terrible we are?  Who is the one putting a stranglehold on businesses with an ungodly number of regulations? Who is the one trying to raise taxes, making it nearly impossible for businesses to even survive, let alone expand? Then you have the nerve to blame US???

We would love nothing more than to bring businesses back to this country, but Obama and his cronies are pushing them OUT.   We consistently hear stories of businesses that want to expand, but they won’t, due to Obama’s stifling regulations, along with worries about the effects of Obamacare.  We also hear stories every day of businesses who are drawn to other countries because of the lower corporate tax rates.  This is due to the actions of Obama and his fellow Democrats, and yet Obama wants to blame the American people.  I just don’t get it.

This isn’t the first time Obama has made such disparaging comments.  In September, he claimed Americans had become “soft” and has lost its competitive edge.

Even more infuriating is that the president and his ilk embrace the Occupy Wall Street protesters, despite hundreds of reports of violent assaults, rapes, disease, drug use, theft, and overall unruly behavior.  Then at the same time, he trashes hard-working Americans for being too lazy and unmotivated.  Am I the only one seeing the irony here?

I am so sick and tired of having a president who has the nerve to insult and disrespect the people he’s supposed to represent. What happened to uniting this country? Admittedly, I never believed in Obama’s promises of hope and change, but I also never imagined he would work this hard to divide us. The comments he’s making are so un-presidential.  It’s absolutely appalling to me.  What other president talked like this?   Does he think this is going to motivate us??  If the leader of the free world has such a negative view his own people, how can we ever expect to succeed as a nation?  It’s time to send this president a message…with a pink slip.
