From USA Today:
Vice President Biden reached out to Iraqi President Jalal Talabani today to offer condolences after a series of bombings killed dozens in Baghdad earlier on Thursday, according to the White House.
As the Associated Press reports, 16 bombs exploded in the capital on Thursday, killing at least 69 people in the worst violence Iraq has seen in months and just days after the last American forces left the country. No one has taken responsibility for the attacks.
“We strongly condemn the terrorist attacks against innocent Iraqis, which serve no agenda other than murder and hatred,” the White House said in a statement. “We offer our condolences to those whose loved ones were lost or wounded. Attempts such as this to derail Iraq’s continued progress will fail.” Read more…
Are you kidding me? The White House condemns the attacks? They’re the reason this happened! We all knew it was coming. The experts have been predicting this for months. As soon as Obama removed the troops from Iraq, we knew the violence would quickly escalate. It’s not like Obama’s advisers and military experts didn’t tell him this. But does he care? No. It’s all about politics. He promised to get the troops out of Iraq, come hell or high water, and that’s exactly what he did, in order to please his base.
So now what? What happens when the violence continues to escalate? What happens when Iran makes their move? What are we going to do? Let them all kill each other, or get involved again? Has all of this been in vain? They’re going to revert to exactly the way things were before. But I can guarantee you, Obama won’t lose a minute’s sleep over it.
The next question…are we going to have the same thing happen in Afghanistan? Of course. Obama already told everyone on the planet when he’s withdrawing troops, so the bad guys are just sitting around, waiting for us to leave. So our troops died for nothing? But, of course, we’ve…how did Obama say it…”taken bin Laden off the field”. Who says that?? And is that total success to him?
Look at the Middle East situation. Has anything improved during Obama’s time in the White House? No. In fact, it’s become even more destabilized than it was before. Let’s look at Egypt. While Mubarak was no saint, he was considered an ally, and kept the peace with Israel. Now, Mubarak is out, and it looks like the Muslim Brotherhood is in, whose mission is: (1) to implement shariah worldwide, and (2) to re-establish the global Islamic State (caliphate), and whose mission in America “is a kind of grand Jihad in eliminating and destroying the Western civilization from within and ‘sabotaging’ its miserable house by their hands and the hands of the believers so that it is eliminated and God’s religion is made victorious over all other religions.” (the mission statement for the MB is found in one of its secret documents entitled “An Explanatory Memorandum on the General Strategic Goal for the Group in North America”.) Oh, well that’s sooo much better. Look at Libya. Ghaddafi is out, but now Sharia law is moving in. Well, that’s just great. And now the violence in Iraq, and next, Afghanistan….and let’s not forget Syria and Yemen. The Obama administration and MSM praised the Arab Spring happening through these regions, but its pretty clear, it’s not democracy moving in. It’s more of the same, or something even worse.
The audacity of the White House to say anything about Iraq at this point, when they basically welcomed the enemy in, is just beyond the pale.
