Am I missing something??? The private sector is fine? Tell this to the millions of Americans who have been out of work for 2-3 years. Tell this to the millions of underemployed workers who went from $50,000 salaries to minimum wage jobs. Tell this to the small business owners who have had to close their doors due to the burden of Obamacare and additional regulations on their businesses. Tell this to the thousands of college graduates who accumulated tens of thousands of dollars in student loans and have no job prospects. The list goes on….

President Obama said today that the “private sector is doing fine” as the U.S. economy recovers from recession, but urged Congress to send more federal aid to states and localities to boost hiring.
The comment triggered an onslaught of attacks from Republicans, who pointed to dismal job growth and an unemployment rate lingering above 8 percent as a sign Obama is out of touch.
Mitt Romney, the presumptive GOP presidential nominee running to unseat Obama, said the comment would “go down in history.”

The private sector is doing fine – look at the profits they are posting. And more and more jobs are being created outside. Check this link (http://www.riazhaq.com/2011/11/us-firms-add-jobs-in-india-china-cut-at.html) Obama or Mitt Romney can’t do much about it – in a free market, that’s the preferred trend today.
Oh don’t get me started—-Obama says one thing and does another. Now he is saying things are getting better, because he thinks we will believe it if he says it. He is such a windbag!!! He’s been saying for years that everything is so bad. Then it was keep me in, because change is slow and steady.
How about Obama screwed up and should be fired for doing a lousy job? Put him back in the private sector, and let’s see how he does!!!
Exactly. The man has no experience in the private sector and won’t even talk to people who can’t afford a $35,000/plate dinner. Given the Hollywood types and Wall Street fat cats he hangs out with, who are more than happy to hand him their money, he probably thinks the private sector IS doing fine.
He’s never held a real job in his life, he has a 747 at his disposal at a moments notice paid for by the taxpayer.
Of course he thinks the private sector is doing fine, why shouldn’t he ?
He’s rubbing elbows with the rich and famous while people are losing their houses due to unemployment
Make him work on a pig farm or a ranch for a week and see what happens.
GWB could survive that week, so could Reagan, and I submit, so could Romney.
Therein lies the difference at least in my mind.
When over 90% of your advisers are eggheads and have never held a job in the private sector what would you think. He says what he is told to say and he doesn’t know the difference.
When the blowback comes, he has to invoke political rhetoric to keep his head above water.
I think that farmers and small businessmen and women should have to be at least 30% of the cadre of advisers the president confides in.
And with today’s technology, they don’t have to reside in Washington.
Instead, they remain in charge of their enterprise and advise the president as to what effect the policies are having on the economy from their perspective.
George Washington was a farmer, so was Thomas Jefferson.
Look where we started, and what we have become.
I’m all for that! I’d pay to see him work at a pig farm!! He wouldn’t know a hard day’s work if bit him in the butt.
And yes, we need to have people from the real world in any administration, instead of the bunch of clueless, disconnected, over-educated baffoons running this one.
Yeah, the private sector is doing just fine … so he needs four more years to really screw it up!
Ha, no doubt. He hasn’t completed his mission of “fundamentally transforming” us into a Marxist nation.
