Rlaser focusemember when President Obama claimed he “would not rest” until Americans were back to work?  Remember how he promised a “laser-like focus” on jobs?  Well, it appears Obama has some serious ADD.  According to the latest Government Accountability Institute (GAI) report, Obama has only spent 3.6% of his presidency on the economy and jobs….and that is a conservative estimate.

Here are some other key findings in their report:

  • In 2013, Obama has spent a total of 6 hours in economic meetings.  (Wow…)
  • Obama has spent a total of 474.4 hours in economic meetings throughout his presidency, compared to 976 hours playing golf or on vacation.
  • Between 2009 and 2012, Obama’s time spent in economic meetings decreased by 79%.

Does that sound like laser-like focus to you?  I’m going with No.  And he’s looking pretty darn rested to me.  So our economy must be on obamabiketrack, right?  Again, that would be a No.  Unemployment still stands at 7.6%, with real unemployment around a whopping 14%.  Our national debt is at 16.8 TRILLION and climbing.  The stock market is being artificially inflated by the Federal Reserve, which economists believe is going to lead to an even bigger collapse than we experienced in 2008.  Social  Security is going broke.  Obamacare is a train wreck, costing billions more than anticipated, and is also causing massive losses of jobs or reductions in hours, and causing companies to close their doors.

But these issues appear to be unworthy of Obama’s time.  Instead he’s focusing on gun control (despite the fact the majority of Americans do not support it), promoting Planned Parenthood, and pushing immigration reform…a.k.a. amnesty (which the majority of Americans also do not support).  These are not the biggest issues facing our country.   According to a March Gallup poll, the issues most Americans are concerned with are:  1) economy in general, 2) dissatisfaction with government, 3) unemployment/jobs, and 4) federal budget deficit/debt.  See anything interesting in those answers?  That’s right….Obama isn’t focused on ANY of them.  In fact, he and his Democrat cronies all state that the economy is improving, and in fact, we don’t have a spending problem.  Democrat Whip Steny Hoyer claimed we have a “paying for it” problem.  Yeah, just like Mike Tyson, economyDennis Rodman or MC Hammer had a “paying for it” problem.  Are you kidding me?

It’s clear that Obama isn’t focused on helping the middle class, although he consistently claims to be working to protect them.  In fact, most of his policies will ultimately destroy the middle class.   Obamacare is hitting small business owners the hardest, and middle class workers are losing hours or losing their jobs altogether. Payroll taxes went up 2% this year, despite Obama’s repeated promises of not raising taxes on the middle class “a single dime”.  And let’s not forget the new internet sales tax, which will cost Americans more money, and place a tremendous burden on companies.  And don’t you love the names of these bills?  Note the “Affordable Care Act” and the “Market regulationsFairness  Act”.  Pfft.  What a joke.

Isn’t the President of the United States supposed to represent all Americans?  Aren’t they supposed to look out for the interests of all of us, not just those who agree with his ideology?  Obama doesn’t even attempt to work with the Republican party, or address the concerns of conservatives.  Not only has this president failed to bring Americans together, but he intentionally drives us apart.   The only thing this president has accomplished is to make us weaker as a nation.

duggar-family-1-600x450I was reading an article today on CBSNews.com about the Duggar family.  The oldest Duggar son, Josh, and his wife Anna, are having their 3rd child, and made the comment that they, like Josh’s parents, will welcome as many children as God gives them.   The article was a positive one, but the comments on the article were absolutely jaw-dropping.  I was appalled at the hate coming from the readers regarding that one statement.

Here are just a few examples (others aren’t even fit to print):

“The baby will likely miscarry. It’s only going to get worse, and can’t they adopt and spare the mother needless risks for herself and the (hopefully makes it out alive and with no birth defects-addled) baby?:

“how much are we subsidizing this? more kids=more tax breaks=more money shoveled from those without children to people like this who won’t keep their hands out of my pockets. why should we pay for their private decisions?”

“They find more value in impregnating her until babies miscarry and/or she dies than anything else.”

“When is the next litter coming?”

“Obscene family. The more babies a woman has, the greater the risk – especially – as she gets older – for her body, and for the baby developing.  That’s not beautiful, that’s selfish and sick.”

Why are people so hateful?  What did the Duggar’s ever do to anyone?  They’re having a child, and they’re selfish, sick and obscene?  I do not understand this mindset.   Children are a joy and a gift from God.  Since when is it selfish and sick to want more than one child?

stethoscope-on-moneyI don’t hear those on the left speaking out against women on the public dole having one child after another.  I don’t see outrage from the left on the fact that 40% of children in the U.S. are born to a single parent.  Josh and Anna are 2 loving parents, raising their children to be good, law abiding, hard-working, responsible, Christian adults, and they’re the ones who are sick?  But having 6 children with multiple  fathers who are absent, and being solely dependent on the government to take care of the children is a situation that deserves our sympathy and hard-earned tax dollars?

The fact is this hate, in large part, is directed at the fact that the Duggars are Christians.  If it were Beyonce and Jay-Z having their 3rd child, would you hear the same outrage?   Do you hear anyone blasting Kris Kardashian for having 6 children?  The Duggars were slammed because they talked about God giving them their children.   The left apparently doesn’t believe those blessings come from God.

The left always claims that the government should stay out of the bedroom.  Yet they want the government to force businesses to provide free birth-control.  They want the government to force taxpayers to fund abortion clinics.  They push sex education in school at younger and younger ages.  Am I missing something?  That sure sounds like government in the bedroom to me.  And now they have a problem with a wholesome, hard-working family having 3 children?  Are child limits going to be their next mission?

Remember when President Clinton said he wanted abortions to be safe, legal and rare?  Well, someone didn’t get the message.  The left not only condones abortion, they promote it.  Who promotes MURDER?  Of course, it’s endorsed under the cover of “reproductive rights”, but endorsed nonetheless.

Dr. Kermit Gosnell is currently on trial for the murder of one adult patient and seven babies.  He not only murdered unborn babies, he murdered babies born as the result of a botched abortion….by snipping their spines with scissors!  Do you think those babies didn’t feel that pain??  And yet, not a word from the liberal media.  Those babies were slaughtered and nothing but silence from the left.  What is wrong with these people?

If they have so little regard for the murder of innocent babies, the most fragile among us, where do they draw the line?  Is it the elderly next?  The physically disabled?  The mentally disabled?   We already see medical reimbursement rates being cut, insurance premiums going up, and coverage lowered or dropped.  Doctors are leaving the practice, which will result in rationing of care.  Refusing to cover certain treatments for the elderly could be just around the corner, in order to save money.  Obama caused a controversy in 2010, when he answered a question at a town hall meeting, stating that an elderly woman (105), who received a pacemaker, possibly should have received a pill instead of surgery, based solely on her advanced age.  America, welcome to death panels.

Bottom line….if we as a nation, have lost all respect for life, our society is doomed.

Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels believed there were two classes of people:  those who owned the means of production – the exploiters; and those who owned nothing and had to sell their labor to survive – the exploited.  Today, the Occupy Movement describes those classes as the 1% and the 99%.  Marx and Engels believed private property was the problem, because it caused jealousy, selfishness, class struggle and war.  Their solution?  Revolution.  Eventually the exploited class would revolt, overthrow the exploiters, and eliminate private property, which would result in socialism, and then eventually, full communism.

Over the past 3 1/2 years, we’ve witnessed the income gap growing wider.  A recent statistic shows that the top 400 wealthiest Americans are worth more than the bottom 150 million Americans combined.  It’s a startling statistic, and it’s only the beginning.  But is it due to a failed capitalistic system, or is it intentional?

Since the beginning of President Obama’s term, he has been working to divide Americans, either by race, gender or economic status.  He’s been preaching the class warfare message in nearly every speech, claiming that the “rich” must pay their “fair share” so lower income Americans can have a “fair shot”.  His answer for our problems is Big Government, but in order to for that to work, our economy has to weaken even further, forcing Americans to look to government for their daily needs.  Sadly, that’s exactly where we’re headed.

  • Despite trillions of dollars in stimulus programs that were passed in order to jump-start the economy, unemployment has stayed above 8% for 40 straight months.  While the official number of unemployed Americans is 12.7 million, the actual number is over 22.9 million, as those who have quit looking are no longer counted.
  • As a result of continued high unemployment, 42% of Americans are living paycheck to paycheck.  A record number of Americans are living below the poverty line.
  • Unemployment in the construction industry is 14.2%.  So much for the shovel-ready jobs.
  • The U.S. corporate tax rate is now the highest in the world, at 39.2% (including federal and state rates), resulting in more businesses going overseas and more lost jobs in the U.S.
  • There are currently over 46 million Americans on food stamps, an increase of over 14 million since Obama entered the White House.  To make matters worse, the administration offered $75,000 grants for new strategies to increase program participation.
  • Since Obamacare passed in 2009, although not fully implemented, businesses and individuals have seen historic increases in premiums, and despite claims that this bill was “deficit-neutral”, the facts show that the projected costs have nearly doubled to $1.76 trillion.
  • Democrats are preparing to push for a single-payer health care system if the individual mandate of Obamacare is struck down by the Supreme Court. Medicare waste and fraud will explode if this comes to fruition.
  • Americans have lost approximately 40% of their wealth over the last 4 years, setting us back 20 years.  What is the average American’s biggest asset?  Their home, which for many, is now under water.
  • Our national debt is approaching $16 TRILLION, over $5 trillion during Obama’s term alone.  We’re going to reach yet another debt ceiling before the end of the year.  We are on the financial cliff.

Meanwhile, Obama says “the private sector is doing fine.”  Why would he say such a thing?  Because in his mind, it is.  He’s not worried about the private sector.  He only cares about the public sector.  His goal is to make more and more Americans dependent on government, which he will continue to blame on the rich and call for higher taxes.  He’s eliminating the middle class altogether, and pitting the poor against the wealthy…the exploited against the exploiters, in his mind.  It’s classic Marxism.

In addition, the Obama administration, with the full cooperation of the EPA, is at war with private land owners:

  • The EPA is infringing on private property rights, using the Clean Water Act to control land alongside ditches, gullies and other ephemeral spots, claiming the sources are part of navigable waterways, and making it harder for private property owners to build in their own backyards, grow crops, raise livestock and conduct other activities on their own land.
  • The EPA ordered an Idaho couple to stop building and pay $75,000 a day in fines for building on “wetlands”, although the property was never determined to be such, and all proper permits were filed before they began construction.
  • President Obama recently signed the National Defense Resources Preparedness Executive Order, which essentially gives the government full authority to seize private property and resources…and labor… in the case of an emergency.
  • The U.S. government currently owns approximately 635 million acres of land, and has included another $1.4 billion in a highway funding bill, to obtain additional land for “conservation efforts”.

  • Michelle Malkin has been investigating various government land grabs in energy-rich areas throughout 11 states.  They are essentially buying up our natural resources, and prohibiting development of the land and creation of jobs.

These are just a few examples of what the Obama administration has been doing with their time, and your tax dollars.  They have spent the last 3 1/2 years telling you it’s the fault of the rich that we’re in this economic mess and it’s their fault you can’t get a “fair shot”, and sadly, many Americans are starting to believe it.  They have created an environment of selfishness, jealousy and class struggle.  What comes next?  That’s right…revolution.  Do you think that’s where we’re headed?  Do you really want to find out?

This morning, President Obama unveiled a new video and his new campaign slogan….”Forward”.  Hmm…  Ok, I’m just going to say it.  This is one of the most ridiculous slogans I’ve ever heard.  Forward?  That’s it?  How many staffers did it take to come up with that one?  Maybe he should have stuck with WTF (Winning the Future)….at least it was catchy.  But I digress…

Aside from the hokey name, let’s dig a little deeper.  This slogan sums up Obama’s mindset.  He doesn’t want people to look back, only move forward.  And why is that?  Maybe it’s because his record is abysmal.  His biggest accomplishment, Obamacare, is a complete disaster.  It barely passed, and the majority of Americans have been against it from the get-go.  While this was touted as such a wonderful accomplishment, I find it so interesting that Obama rarely even brings it up.  If it was so monumental, why hasn’t he been riding that wave for the last 3 years?  Simple.  We don’t want it, and he knows it.  What he claimed was a deficit neutral bill, has ballooned to nearly $2 trillion, and is still growing.  While not yet fully implemented, it’s already causing insurance premiums to increase and is driving small businesses to close their doors.  Due to decreasing Medicare reimbursement costs, many doctors are no longer taking Medicare patients or are retiring from their practices altogether.  This, along with increased regulations, is causing medical students to rethink even getting into the field.  The result will be a shortage of doctors and rationed care….exactly what we’ve been predicting since the beginning of the health care debate.

What are Obama’s other accomplishments?  Any bill that has been passed into law only equals more regulation, more spending, and less freedom, with no real solutions.  We’re $15 TRILLION in debt, housing prices are still in the tank, food and gas prices are still rising, and unemployment is still over 8%.  The number of food stamp recipients has increased to nearly 45 million, with a 135% increase in costs over the last 4 years (with Obama looking to add even more people to the program).

The only thing we have to look “forward” to with a 2nd Obama term is more of the same.

But Obama does have one thing right.  We should look forward….to November…when we can Vote. Him. Out.

President Obama is full swing into campaign mode….not that he ever left…and the contributions have been coming in fast and furious.  Oops…did I just say Fast and Furious?  Freudian slip?  But I digress…

Obama’s most recent fundraiser was at the private home of filmmaker Spike Lee, with invites going for $35,800 per plate.  During both of Obama’s campaigns, we have heard a lot about his massive contributions from various bundlers, fundraisers who bring in anywhere from $50,000 to $500,000 from multiple contributors, and we are all aware of the claims of crony capitalism associated with the current administration.

Now, the Center for Public Integrity, a non-partisan group, has come out with some interesting facts regarding this very subject.  According to their studies, 68 out of the 350 bundlers, or their spouses, have received appointments within the White House administration.  In addition, 250 of those same 350 bundlers have been invited to various White House events, some to multiple events, and others who visit on a regular basis.  That’s a pretty staggering number.  There are also reports that 30 of the 2012 bundlers have ties to companies that either already work with federal agencies or hope to do so.  Read the full story here

So, is this the appropriate behavior from a president who promised to do away with the special interests in Washington?  Who promised to change the politics in Washington?  Who promised hope and change and a unified America?  I think not.  But it’s par for the course with this current president.  Wasn’t he the one who talked about rewarding friends and punishing enemies?  He clearly rewards his friends, such as the unions, who give approximately 90% of their political contributions to Democrats.  A large percentage of the waivers from Obamacare have been given to unionized companies and other administration allies.  He clearly punishes his enemies, like Right to Work states, such as South Carolina, with the Boeing contract, and Tennessee, with Gibson Guitars.  His Justice Department also goes after states like Arizona and Alabama, for trying to enforce illegal immigration laws, laws that were written by these states, because the federal government is not getting the job done.  These examples are just a drop in the bucket.  This is consistent behavior by the current administration, the man who claims to have the most transparent administration in history.

Where is the public outrage?  Where is the media?  Ah yes, they’re too busy protecting the president, smearing the tea party, and speaking to ex-wives of Republican presidential candidates.
